No News on Stephenie Meyer ‘The Host’ Trilogy

Here’s some interesting news that was recently posted on EW.com:

“Once you’ve created characters that have life to them, unless you kill them all, you know where their stories go. You’re always aware of what happens next,” Meyer told the Associated Press earlier this week. “I’ve got outlines for the next books. I would hope that this would be a three-book arc, but we’ll see.”

Not so fast, cautions a source close to Meyer, who tells EW that there’s been no new news to report on the sequel/trilogy front. Besides, Meyer’s plate is pretty full at the moment — in addition to promoting The Host she’s a producer on the newly Sundance-acquired Austenland, starring Keri Russell.

Well, for those who have been keeping tabs on Stephenie and have been continuously asking and waiting to see how things are on the sequel front know that she has been working on writing the sequel, however, yes, it has been very slow being she’s of the single-minded variety.  What I mean by that is that she’s admitted to not being able to write and do other things at the same time.  So, while she’s out touring for ‘The Host’ movie and producing ‘Austenland,’ unfortunately, her reader fans will have to wait until she’s back home for her to set her mind to writing, and writing only.  Hopefully that won’t take much longer, but we shall see how much she wants to take on producing projects, I suppose.
