I mentioned In The Flesh last November and now we’ve got a trailer for it! You can check it out after the jump. This is not your typical “Walking Dead”-type show. Think more about a darker, less comedic, more dramatic, and more creepy version of Warm Bodies (which I really enjoyed watching). At least, that’s what I got out of it. There’s probably more to it than that, though.
Here’s a synopsis:
Set in the aftermath of a zombie outbreak in the UK, the series will follow Kieren (Luke Newberry), a dead teenager who was resurrected as a zombie and has since been rehabilitated somehow by the British government (they apparently call his condition “Partially Deceased Syndrome”). As Kieren attempts to re-enter society (while surrounded by people whose friends and relatives he just ate), he continues to struggle with the old urges that come with being a shambling undead cannibal.
I enjoyed the whole idea of turning undead in Warm Bodies, and even though this is darker, I’ll be trying to catch the first episode however possible – if Hulu offers it, I’d be ecstatic. How about you? Will you be giving this one a chance, or are you just into the old-fashioned shoot-em-in-the-head-type zombie series? Check out the trailer below.
The series debuts in the U.K. on BBC Three on March 17, 2013. Hopefully this will be available on Netflix or Hulu for us Americans.
