Clark Gregg sat down with Steve “Frosty” Weintraub from Collider to talk about Much Ado About Nothing, but luckily, he was able to talk a little bit about the upcoming new TV series, Agents of S.H.I.EL.D., in which he reprises his role as Agent Phil Coulson.
Below are some highlights about the S.H.I.E.L.D. talk:
Frosty asks Gregg how he found out about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. being picked up, and he said, “That was… a text. That was a text from Joss saying, it’s on. It’s on, and that meant get on a plane the next day. To go to New York.”
When asked where exactly they were going to film, Clark shook his head, whispering that he couldn’t say, then he smiled, admitted to joking and promptly said they were filming in Culver City.
He continues to jest more about it, saying “they built a soundstage that flies above and it has a cloaking device on the bottom.” Then quickly adds, “I’m sorry, I’m being a smartass. Surprise!”
In regards to being at Comic-Con this year, and whether they were going to show anything, such as premiering the first episode, you’re not sure whether he’s about to say another sly comment, but then says,
“I hear we were going to be there, I didn’t hear that we were premiering a show there.”
According to what Clark adds, not even the ABC executives have seen the show, but you just never know when it comes to Comic-Con. Firstly, there’s still time for the execs to see the show, if it’s ready to even show, but then again, it’s not like this show would be begging people to watch the show. People will want to watch the show, there’s no doubt. Given then, it’s possible they can still show clips, if not a whole episode.
