For as long as she’s been in the acting business, Summer Glau has been a huge presence in the TV sci-fi realm, from her first role as a ballerina in the TV series Angel to her, to her unforgettable role as River Tam in the much-beloved and short-lived Firefly, through her turn as terminating machine Cameron Phillips in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and even making it onto the big screen (somewhat) in the yet-to-be-released LARPing movie, Knights of Badassdom.
And now, she’s hit on another surefooted TV series – Arrow!
Glau will play the “enigmatically beautiful” and “dangerous” Isabel Rochev, vp of acquisitions at Stellmoor International, a company looking to take over Queen Consolidated. She will first appear in the premiere.
It’s not like I’m not already a fan of this show, but this addition, especially for her in a recurring role, probably akin to John Barrowman‘s role as Malcolm Merlyn (RIP), just solidifies my loyalty to the show.
Just think, a one-on-one battle between frakkin’ River and the Hood! I would just like to thank whoever is casting this show on what a terrific job they’re doing.
What about you? Are you even more excited to watch Season 2 now that the beautiful and awesome Summer is going to be on it?
