The DC Universe is big and full of villains, which is great for The CW’s Arrow, since The Hood had gotten rid of a few in season 1.  Here’s another addition of a villain into season 2 of Arrow: Dr. Anthony Ivo.  Ivo will be played by Dylan Neal, who had a couple of appearances in the series Smallville.

Those familiar with DC comics will recognize Anthony Ivo as the creator of the power-mimicking “Amazo” android, as well as a villain in his own right with both a paralyzing fear of, and a desire to conquer death. Neal himself has a long list of TV and film credits, among which were previous CW appearances on ‘Smallville‘ as Metropolis DA Ray Sacks.

In addition to introducing Grant Gustin’s Flash alongside references to Metamorpho and The Atom, ‘Arrow’ season 2 will pick up on October 9 some time after the events of the season 1 finale, continuing its ‘Batman Begins’-influenced storytelling with the addition of new villains Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau), Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Amanda Waller (‘Spartacus‘ Cynthia Addai-Robinson), Brother Blood (Kevin Alejandro), League of Assassins member Al-Owal (‘Homeland”s Navid Negahban) and DC character Sin (‘The Killing”s Bex Taylor Klaus).

It’s looking to be another exciting, action-packed, parkour-filled, stunt-crazy season.  Yay!
