My friend Perri Nemiroff from Coming Soon was at the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel at New York Comic-Con, where Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb, and actors Iain De Caestecker (Agent Fitz) and Elizabeth Henstridge (Agent Simmons), were present to answer fan questions. Perri spent the time live blogging it, and here’s some highlights from that panel:
Perri: Someone asks if we’re going to get more backstory. Henstridge says that now that they have more episodes, it’s coming.
Perri: Loeb warns that you never know what could happen to these characters – someone could get killed at anytime.
Perri: Loeb notes, “As you can imagine, by the time we finish 22 episodes, we’ll have told more stories …” than they have in the Marvel cinematic universe.
Perri: Loeb also just revealed that a new character introduced in episode four is going to be a recurring character.
Perri: Wait until you guys see what she looks like at the end of it. Could be an interesting connection to another Marvel character.
Perri: Loeb says we’ll learn more about Agent May and Skye’s story, too. “Hang on. It’s coming.”
Perri: Any chance we’ll get guest appearance from the Avengers.? Loeb says, “If somebody wants to come play …” they’ll figure out how to make it happen.
