GOTHAM Character Posters Several Feature Recognizable Names

After the success of The CW’s Arrow, it’s no surprise that the Fox/WB duo is hitting the small screen again with another superhero-related drama based on Batman’s dark city, Gotham.  But in this version, it’s more the story of Detective James Gordon, who years later, becomes Commissioner Gordan to Bruce Wayne’s Batman.  For now, it’s just Bruce Wayne, and several other tainted individuals whose “ordinary” names you may recognize.

Before there was Batman, there was “Gotham.” Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?

Check out the character posters of those that will appear in Fox’s highly anticipated drama.  I’m still a bit wary of the show, but since Arrow’s success, along with The Flash (which also looks to be just as successful), I have hopes for DC’s characters on the boob tube.

Although Fox has some really good shows on their network, I’m not a huge fan of Fox Network (*cough* Firefly *cough*), but I’m still hoping for success in this show, as I has much trepidation for what DC has in store for their superhero characters on the big screen at this time.
